This is the first page of my comic for Happiness #2, This really don’t give any advance of the story at all, so that’s good. I’m also working on the graphics of the next 7” of Cintas Pepe, Creators of ¡Brutales Matanzas! the ultimate compilation of mexican and peruvian punk and hardcore bands; Morbo, Peruvian primordial punks from Lima (MRR Review) and soon to be realeased, Tercer Mundo, Hardocre band from Monterrey, México, featuring Dave from Ratas del Vaticano and some members of Los Margaritos.The whole record feeling is a paranoid and frightening sense of the actual way of living in Monterrey, where the drug war is leaving hundreds of civil deaths. This song is from the b side of this 7” and talks about people who don’t give a fuck about the consecuences of the little bag of weed they buy every day. That subject is somehow similar to the rest of my comic, so I decided to use this song.
Remember pal, smoking weed is not a bad thing, drugs are not a bad thing at all, they’re in this planet for we to use them, The problem is basically that at this moment, Smoking mariguana or snorting coke of doubtful origin makes you a fucking PIECE OF SHIT, just because the money you are paying for the stuff that provides you “spiritual peace”, “mental confort” or simply “mundane satisfaction” is financing the stupid way of living of some retards blinded by the power you are giving them. For every joint you smoke, a Person is getting brutally killed… You are not “cool” anymore, smoking mariguana is not cool anymore, you are not a fucking “punk”, right now you’re just the all-american making what the 90% of the faggots you used to hate are doing, so come on, take part on this fucked up situation, don’t be a douchebag.

La Compilación Nene Records 2007 ahora en 320 kbps!
Es algo extraño oir estas rolas grabadas hace ya más de 6 años. Nos transporta a un Monterrey en el que había tantas tocadas en un viernes que tenías que escoger las dos a las que ibas a ir. Salas, cocheras, billares y lugares no aptos para todas estas bandas que en este disco quedaron registradas.
Muchas ya no existen, de hecho casi todas ya mamaron. Las únicas que siguen vivas son Bam Bam y Los Implantes quienes no han dejado de pedalearle desde su incursión con el Nene.
Seis años han pasado y a pesar de ser las primeras grabaciones de todas estas bandas y que lo que vino después superó por mucho lo que en la Compilación 07 se hizo, hay algo bien chido impregnando cada bit de información: Las ganas de hacer algo sin tener una puta idea de como hacerlo.
La primera época del Nene como lo conocemos queda aqui en un zip de 128 megas. Un esfuerzo colaborativo muy grande entre los que eramos Nene en aquel entonces: Dave, Anhelo, Jane, Charli, Chomps, el Soda y Mou.
Suena mal pero despierta al animal.

Portada del LP de Inservibles, edicion compartida entre La Vida es un Mus y Shogun Recordings. Al parecer a mucha gente le parecio de muy mal gusto y no sabia como interpretar la imagen. A esas conciencias puritanas del punk les informo que NO es una chaqueta mental mia donde expreso mis mas bajas pasiones, es una imagen que ocurrio en un mercado en el Estado de Mexico hace algunos meses donde tres señoras indigenas fueron rapadas y humilladas por robar fruta. El disco basicamente trata sobre la humillacion que vive un mexicano en esta mierda a la que llama pais. Si no les parecen las imagenes fuertes, no se que chingados estan haciendo en la “escena”. Asi es el pais donde vivo y con esto es con lo que tenemos que lidiar todos los dias, no iba a poner imagenes de la guerra nuclear que nunca llego con unas putas fuentes CRUST o unas calaveras punks o alguna foto artsy fartsy. Yesterday theoceanandthesky asked for a mix of punk bands with people of color, so I put this mix of bands I like together for her. It’s just a sampler and by no means a comprehensive thing - this is barely scratching the surface! Limited by my own knowledge and by what I had digitized, and also by region - I decided to focus on the US & Mexico (1977-present), because there are so many good bands from all over the damn world. (Left off Bad Brains and DKs because those are bands I think most people are familiar with?)
